The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed regarding the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider level developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and raise entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
